Fire breaks out in engine of Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express, no casualty

Siliguri, Mar 22 (UNI) A fire broke out in the engine of Dibrugarh-bound Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express train near Phansidewa in Darjeeling district of
West Bengal this morning, the official sources said.

Smoke was detected from engine of Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express at around 1100 hours near Chathaat in Phansidewa block of Darjeeling district under Siliguri subdivision.

Four fire tenders rushed to the spot.

However, no casualties have been reported so far.

The Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express is a weekly superfast express train which connects Chandigarh with the Tea City Dibrugarh in upper Assam.
