Five men linked to gang war in Kolkata arrested

Kolkata, July 10 (IBNS): Police on Monday night arrested five persons in connection with  a gang war that triggered tension and panic among locals in central Kolkata's busy Entally area.

According to reports, five local miscreants, who have been identified as Mazahar, Amin, Md. Danish, Saif Sultan and Faizal, were nabbed from nearby areas.

Earlier on Monday evening, one youth was shot as two rival antisocial groups were engaged in a with over promoting disputes at Jora Girja area under Beniapukur Police Station limits in central part of the city.

The arrested miscreants, who have been charged under several IPC and Arms Act sections, were produced in a local court on Tuesday and were remanded to police custody.
