Five OGWs of Lashkar-e-Toiba arrested from central Kashmir

Srinagar/UNI: Five Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were arrested by security forces in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, a police spokesman said here on Thursday.

With this, a total of 9 OGWs of LeT were arrested by security forces in the valley.

On Wednesday four OGWs of LeT were arrested in Sopore in Baramulla district.

He said on a tip-off about LeT OGW module active in Badgam providing support to militants, Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF conducted night-long raids in Narbal area on Srinagar-Gulmarg road.

During the raids, security forces arrested five OGWs of LeT and recovered live ammunition, posters and magazines besides incriminating material.

Further details are awaited, he said.
