Fresh violence in Assam-Nagaland border, death toll rises to 11
According to reports, suspected Naga miscreants had been firing at the disturbed area, in which a person of Assam side was injured.
On Thursday, security forces recovered nine more bodies, including of two children from the bordering area, where death toll in firing and arson by alleged miscreants from Nagaland had increased to 11.
Assam Police ADGP AP Rout said that, all the bodies recovered from Sukhanjan, Chainpur villages.
''All the bodies belonged to the victims of first day's violence in trouble torn B-Sector area near Uriumghat in Golaghat district,'' Rout said.
More than 12,000 people had took shelter at relief camps, who fled from their homes of bordering area.
Suspected Naga miscreants had torched at least 50 villages in B-Sector since Aug 12.
CRPF and Assam police personnel have been deployed at the violent bordering area.
On other hand, several organisations of Assam had continued economic blockade against Nagalnd protest against the killing incidents along Assam-Nagaland border.
