Gang Rape Case: Bokaro court awards lifer to one and 20 years of imprisonment to another

Bokaro, May 20 (UNI) A local court in this district today awarded life imprisonment to a gang rape accused while his partner in crime was given 20 years of imprisonment by the court.

The court of special judge (POSCO) Ranjeet Kumar awarded life imprisonment to one of the accused identified as Mohammed Farid while one Santosh was given 20 years of rigorous imprisonment.

The court had on May 13 convicted the duo in the case and had fixed May 20 as the date for announcement of the quantum of punishment.

The duo had on July 25, 2017 in Old Mines Swang of Gomia POlice Station area had gang raped a 13-year old minor.
