Hyderabad/UNI:  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday reached Hyderabad to a rousing welcome amid the slogans of 'Ram Laxman Jaanki', 'Jai bolo Hanuman Ki' and 'Yogi-Yogi', 'Jai Shri Ram', 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Matram'.

He campaigned in a massive roadshow with all roads and buildings adorned with saffron colour banners and posters. People in large numbers showered flowers on Mr Adityanath who was aboard an open bus.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister was doing the roadshow in Jeedimetla of Hyderabad in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates in local bodies (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) elections.

The unprecedented welcome to Yogi was significant as the roadshow was organised in the Parliamentary constituency of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen President Asaduddin Owaisi.

The BJP workers and general public were carrying placards with 'change Hyderabad' and the women and children waved at Mr Adityanath standing atop buildings as he moved surrounded by a sea of supporters.

The UP CM embarked on his road show after paying floral homage to Baba Sahab Bhimrao Ambedkar. During his entire road show, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister reciprocated people's welcome by showing victory sign.
