Going to Pakistan is same as going to hell: Parrikar
He said soldiers in Kashmir prevented five terrorists from crossing the border into India on Monday.
"Our soldiers sent back five terrorists yesterday. Going to Pakistan is same as going to hell," NDTV quoted Parrikar as saying.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Day speech in New Delhi on Monday, clearly slammed Pakistan and said there is a difference between those people who were brought up under the influence of humanism and those who reward terrorism.
Addressing the nation from the Red Fort, Modi had said when innocent kids were killed in the Peshawar school attack, every child in India felt the shock of the massacre, but on the other hand in the neighbouring country, "terrorism is being glorified."
Without naming Pakistan, Modi had slammed: "When innocent people are killed in terrorist attacks, there are celebrations. What kind of life is this which is inspired by terrorism?"
"How governments are formed through inspiration of terrorism. The world will understand this difference clearly. That is enough for me," he had said.
Modi had said that people of Balochistan, Gilgit, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have thanked him for drawing attention to their troubles.
"In the last few days, people of Balochistan, Gilgit, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have thanked me, have expressed gratitude, and expressed good wishes for me," the PM had said.
"The people who are living far away, whom I have never seen, never met - such people have expressed appreciation for Prime Minister of India, for 125 crore countrymen. This is an honour for our countrymen," he had said.
