On Feb 29 morning, Delhi Police had detained six persons for allegedly shouting "Goli Maro" slogan at crowded Rajeev Chawk metro station, just after the deadly communal violence over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest in north east parts of Delhi was brought under control.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur had first raised the "goli maro" slogan during the Delhi election campaign and drew flak for the hate speech.
