Gujjar stir ends in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Feb 16 (UNI) The Gujjar community, agitating since nine days, demanding five per cent reservation in educational institutes and government jobs, ended its stir on Saturday.
Gujjar Reservation Committee convenor Kirori Singh Bainsla announced to end the agitation after the state Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh reached the venue and handed over a five-point draft to the former.
A committe member read the draft aloud, following which Colonel Bainsla ordered unblocking of the areas where the community members were staging demonstrations.
