Haryana Minister Anil Vij tests Covid-19 positive days after taking Covaxin dose

Chandigarh/IBNS: Haryana Minister Anil Vij, who had taken a dose of indigenous Novel Coronavirus vaccine candidate Covaxin in its trial phase, on Saturday tested positive for Covid-19.

He has been admitted to a hospital.

Vij took to Twitter to say, "I have been tested Corona positive. I am admitted in Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt. All those who have come in close contact to me are advised to get themselves tested for corona."

The minister was administered a dose of the vaccine, which has been developed by Bharat Biotech and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), on Nov 20.

Vij is the minister of various portfolios including Home and Health in Haryana.
