Haryana to opt for National Register of Citizens, says CM Khattar

Chandigarh, Oct 9 (IBNS): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said that the state will opt for the controversial National Register of Citizens (NCR), reports stated.

Khattar said the following while attending an event in Gurgaon.

Haryana is slated to undergo assembly polls next year.

He said that while the state has the names of all the Rohingyas living in Haryana, his government wants the NCR survey done there.

Khattar had openly supported the NCR survey while the same was implement in Assam, earlier this year.
