Hawala operator arrested in Chennai in connection with Dinakaran's bribery case

Chennai, Apr 28 (IBNS) : The Delhi Police on Friday arrested a hawala operator in connection with the AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dinakaran's bribery case, reports said.

Naresh Jain, the arrested hawala operator, had allegedly helped middleman Sukesh Chandrashekhar in money transfer.

The transaction, through Chandrashekhar, was sought to be made by Dinakaran  to  bribe an Election Commission official to obtain the 'Two Leaves' symbol of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) .

The Crime Branch recovered approximately Rs. 1.3 crore and two luxury cars, a BMW and a Mercedes, from Chandrashekhar.
