Himachal Pradesh: 2 dead in road mishap

Shimla/UNI: Two killed including a woman and four sustain injuries in separate road mishap occurred in Shimla and Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) officials confirmed.

Spokesperson of SDMA, Sudesh Mokta informed in a press release that a car fell down in a deep gorge at Janol (Kalbog) area of Subdivision Theog this morning.

One of the occupants died on the spot and three injured were hospitalized at Civil Hospital Kotkhai for treatment.

Deceased was identified as Dinesh (30).

He also said that a vehicle carrying two persons rolled down in a deep rivlut at Kandhi area of Thunag Tehsil in Mandi district at 4 pm on Tuesday in which one died on spot and other was seriously injured and hospitalised at Bagsaid Hospital.

Deceased was identified as Moru Devi (45) of village Katwandi sayanj Gohar in district Mandi.

The bodies of the deceased were handed over to family members after the postmortem by the police, he added.
