Howdy Modi: PM Narendra Modi arrives in Houston
Houston, Sept 21 (IBNS): Commencing his crucial US visit, Narendra Modi arrived in Houston on Saturday, the venue where he will address the 'Howdy Modi' event on Sunday.
The event assumes significance as US President Donald Trump will also attend it.

Speaking on the event, the White House said in a statement earlier: "On Sunday, September 22, 2019, President Donald J. Trump will travel to Houston, Texas, and Wapakoneta, Ohio, to underscore the important partnerships between the United States and India, and Australia."
"In Houston, President Trump will participate in an event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. The event, 'Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures,' is expected to draw tens of thousands of people. It will be a great opportunity to emphasize the strong ties between the people of the United States and India, to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the world’s oldest and largest democracies, and to discuss ways to deepen their energy and trade relationship," read the statement.
The 'Howdy Modi' event will be held in NRG Stadium on Sep 22.
The stadium is one of America’s largest professional football stadiums, is home to the Houston Texans franchise, and held the Super Bowl in 2017.

The Texas India Forum expects 50,000 people will attend the summit, using the full capacity of the stadium in concert configuration.
Modi will also attend the crucial UN General Assembly meeting next week in the US.
