Huge explosion, fire reported at chemical factory in Gujarat's Vadodara

Vadodara/IBNS: A huge explosion has been reported at a chemical company in Gujarat's Vadodara which caused a massive fire in the complex.

The explosion and fire occurred at a Deepak Nitire factory in Vadodara, said reports.

Several fire engines have been rushed to the spot.

Heavy smoke was visible from a long distance.

In a statement, Deepak Nitrite said that they are monitoring the situation closely and that the safety of employees and people in the vicinity was of foremost priority.

The cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
