I have sought unconditional apology: AAP MP Mann on video row
New Delhi, July 22 (IBNS): Amid uproar, adjournments and condemnation in both houses of Parliament on Friday over Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann shooting and uploading in social media a video of his journey to Parliament on Thursday to show security lapses in the high-security zone, the controversial lawmaker said he has sought unconditional apology for his action.
"I have sought unconditional apology and have given a letter to the Speaker too. My intention was never to expose the Parliament to security risk," said Mann outside Parliament amid a political storm over his action.
He said it was a mistake but he has sought apology. He also, however, said the BJP was trying to give the issue a different colour and if one has to protect people then the Dalits in states like Gujarat should be protected.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, who summoned Mann, said action will be taken and might even form a committee for the same.

For once the Congress, the BJP and other parties were shown joining ranks to demand strict action against Mann.
Congress leaders in the house said the video damages democracy and strong action should be taken against him. "We want action against Bhagwant Mann. Some people should be taught lessons that they can't breach security like this," said Mallikarjun Kharge of Congress, demanding his suspension.
Parliamentarians said 13 people lost their lives to protect parliament and hence it should be taken it up seriously.
Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said she would ensure that action is taken even as the BJP said Mann should be suspended temporarily. Mann was summoned by the Lok Sabha Speaker to explain his action too.
In the video which was on his FB page he says : "Today I'll show you something you have never seen before."

"This is a matter of security of Parliament and some want to make a farce of it," said BJP's Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi in Rajya Sabha.
Members started shouting in Rajya Sabha even as the Deputy Speaker tried to calm them. Deputy Chairman P J Kurien said it is a serious matter.
Congress lawmakers also protested calling it a serious issue.
According to reports, Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan is likely to seek an explanation from Mann.

However, Mann has rejected any security concerns that might be a result of his video footage.
