New Delhi, Apr 8 (UNI): India was not in a position to make experiment with adventurism of failed ideas, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Arun Jaitley said on Monday.

“India cannot experiment with adventurism of failed ideas… We will work with ideas that promise to make India one of the strongest countries of the world,” Jaitley said during the release of Bharatiya Janata Party's “Sankalp Patra” (manifesto) here.

He said this manifesto is not prepared with “Tukde Tukde” mindest. It is not even prepared with an 'Ivy league' mindset. This has been prepared with a strong nationalist vision.

This is first five years where India was the fastest growing economy of the world, the Finance Minister added.

Jaitley said the new security doctrine will make India one of the powerful nations of the world where deterrent is the best defence.

“We want to go to the polls as a continuing government,” he maintained

The manifesto was released by Jaitley, BJP chief Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with other senior leaders Rajnath Singh and Sushma Swaraj.

Speaking at the release of BJP's Lok Sabha poll manifesto on Monday, party chief Amit Shah referred to the five-year rule of the saffron party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a golden period.

"When history of India's development will be written, the journey from 2014 to 2019 will be written in golden letters," Shah said.

Shah also praised Modi saying, "In five years, the Prime Minister has taken more than 50 steps which will be a part of India's history."

The BJP released its manifesto three days before the first phase of Lok Sabha polls.

BJP came to power in 2014 with a sweeping majority defeating the Congress, which had manged to get only 40 odd seats.
