Kolkata, Nov 14 (IBNS) India on Saturday celebrates the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday, also known as Children's Day.

Children's Day or Bal Diwas as it is popularly known in the country was first observed in 1964 and have continued since.

A day solely dedicated to the young minds, Children's Day often calls for a grand celebration in schools and other child service institutions, across the nation.

Google India too acknowledged the celebration by putting up a special Children's Day doodle.
