New Delhi, June 26 (IBNS): India is all set to become a member of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) on Monday, officials said on Sunday.

"On Monday, we are going to become full member of MTCR," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup told media.

He said  India had applied for the membership into Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and MTCR 10 years ago.

He said India achieved in becoming members of both the groups in  "this week alone".

The Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) is an informal and voluntary partnership among 35 countries to prevent the proliferation of missile and unmanned aerial vehicle technology capable of carrying a 500 kg payload for at least 300 km.
