Indian Army helps 16 Manipuri students to clear IIT/JEE exam
Guwahati, May 1 (IBNS): The Indian Army has helped 16 Manipuri students to clear the IIT/JEE examination, the result of which was declared on April 30.
The Indian Army has always been a torch bearer in nation building and in the finest of its traditions, a maiden project titled "Manipur 30" was undertaken by Senapati Brigade of the Red Shield Division in collaboration with Centre for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), where in meritorious students from economically weaker section of the society were imparted free coaching and guidance for appearing in IIT/JEE examination 2018.
The pioneer batch consisting of 18 students were sent to Guwahati in mid August 2017 where they were given exclusive coaching and guidance with free boarding and lodging facility.
Due to the hard work put in by the students and amicable study environment provided by the Army and CSRL, a total of 16 student cleared the IIT/JEE examination, the result of which was declared on April 30.
The successful student are now further being coached for Advance IIT/JEE examination which is scheduled to be held on May 20.
The initiative taken by the Army will go a long way in nation building and contribute immensely in moulding the youth of the state towards a better future.
It will also dissuades the youth from doing any anti national activities and will result in overall development of the state.
