Indian PM condemns Afghanistan attacks

Kabul/New Delhi, Aug 8 (IBNS) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condemned the militant attacks in Afghanistan's Kabul city on Friday.

Modi tweeted: "I strongly condemn the gruesome & cowardly attacks in Afghanistan. My thoughts are with families of the deceased & prayers with the injured."

Afghanistan's  Ministry of Interior Affairs condemned the attack at the entrance gate of Afghan National Police Academy which resulted 40 cadets and civilians killed and wounded.

"The incident took place while a suicide bomber detonated his suicide vest at the entrance gate of Afghan National Police Academy in the 5th district, Afshar region, Kabul City, yesterday evening at 7:30 PM," the Ministry of Interior Affairs website said.
