Israeli Ambassador inaugurates 'One Mega Event 2018' in New Delhi

New Delhi, May 23 (IBNS): Israel is participating for the second consecutive year in the One Mega Event, a platform for sharing ideas and best practices about smart cities solutions.

The 3-day event, held at Pragati Maidan (May 23-25) features industry experts, technology innovators, city leaders, government administrators and urban planning experts.

While delivering a special address in the grand opening ceremony today, Ambassador Daniel Carmon said, “International Expos such as the One Mega Event are a crucial instrument in our ability to deal with a variety of challenges by offering solutions. The challenges India is addressing are challenges we all contend with in the modern era and we each have something to share and something to learn.”

Following the opening ceremony, Ambassador Carmon and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, C. R. Choudhary, inaugurated the Israeli Pavilion in the expo, featuring eight innovative Israeli companies presenting smart cities solutions in smart communications, transport, energy, water and safe city solutions.

Ambassador Carmon added: “India and Israel’s strategic partnership as defined by the Prime Ministers during the historic visits of the last year are implemented on the ground by Israeli companies providing cutting edge technology and innovation to vast projects like smart cities in India.”
