It is foolish to ask for resignation of Amit Shah, says BS Yediyurappa

Bengaluru, Nov 3 (UNI) Taking strong exception to Opposition Congress demand on recent audio clip, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that "it is foolishness of Congress to demand resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah holding him responsible for resignation of 17 MLAs who were disqualified by their respective political parties".

Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, Yediyurappa said that "Mr Shah was not concerned with the resignation of MLAs which led to collapse of JDS-Congress government in the state. They (the MLAs) resigned on their and they have also decided about their future".

The Chief Minister alleged that his words at BJP Core Committee meeting held recently at Hubballi was twisted and Congress is trying to take advantage for political benefit and it will not stand in the Supreme Court.

Taking a dig at Opposition leader Siddaramiah, Yediyurappa alleged that he (Mr Siddaramaiah) he has no common sense. Being an Advocate he is making allegations without any knowledge.

Yediyurappa stated that BJP tickets will be given to disqualified MLAs to contest in the December 5 by-election.

The Congress leaders, including KPCC President Dinesh Gundurao, who met Governor Vajubhai Vala yesterday, submitted a memorandum demanding dismissal of BJP government in the State headed by Mr Yediyurappa as that party indulged in horse trading to pull down constitutionally formed Coalition government and now proving the act by assuring them party tickets in the by-election
