IT officials raid Gokulam Chit Fund branches in Tamil Nadu and other southern states
New Delhi, Apr 19 (IBNS): The Income Tax department on Wednesday conducted raids in about 80 locations spread across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala in an alleged tax evasion case, according to media reports.
The raids were conducted at the branches of Sree Gokulam Chit Fund and Finance Private Company, which is owned by Chennai-based businessman Gokulam Gopalan.
The IT officials also raided Gopalan's home in Kochi, media reports said.
