Jaish commander arrested in Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 1 (UNI) A wanted commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) was on Monday arrested by a team of Delhi Police Special Cell with the assistance of local police in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

They said that a team of Delhi Police assisted by local police raided a place in Srinagar and arrested Jaish commander Faiyaz Ahmad Lone, who was evading arrest since 2015."

The Delhi Police had announced Rs two lakh reward for his arrest. Lone will be taken to Delhi for further questioning.

The militant was wanted in a case registered with the Special Cell of Delhi Police and Non Bailable Warrants for his arrest had been issued by Delhi High Court.

Lone is a resident of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir.
