Jammu/UNI: The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Pakistani when he tried to sneak into Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning.

According to BSF sources, the troops noticed a man heading towards the fence from the Pakistan side of the border near Bhule Chak Post in Arnia sector.

"Several warnings were given to him but he came close to the fence and tried to sneak into the Indian territory," a source said. The troops then shot him dead.

"The body is still lying close to the International Border," he source said.

Last month as well, the BSF shot down a woman intruder near Allah Mai Ke Kothe Border Outpost in Ranbir Singh Pura sector.

Amid dense fog in the plains of Jammu near the border, the BSF is on alert to thwart infiltration attempts from Pakistan.
