Srinagar, July 31 (IBNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday faced the wrath of some parents who raised pro-freedom slogans during her visit to Government College for Women in Srinagar.

According to reports, some parents, who were accompanying their children appearing for Common Entrance Test (CET), at Women’s College Srinagar raised slogans when Mehbooba reached the college to check the examination preparation.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by top brass of security officials and local administration.

Thousands of candidates sitting for the test from all the ten districts reached Srinagar on Sunday morning.

The CET is being conducted by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) of the state for admission to MBBS course to various colleges in the state.

Mufti faced hostile people who were visibly annoyed over her presence and chanted pro-freedom slogans.

The slogan raising parents asked the Chief Minister to explain why she has not been able to stop the alleged killings in the Valley by the security forces.
