Jammu and Kashmir: IED blast in Nowshera leaves Army Major dead

Srinagar, Feb 16 (IBNS): An IED blast in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera sector left one Army major killed, media reports said on Saturday.

The incident reportedly took place close to the Line of Control.

An Army officer was killed today while defusing an improvised explosive device at Nowshera sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri, reported NDTV.

As per the news channel's report, the explosive had been planted by intruders from Pakistan along the Line of Control.

Details about the incident are still not known.

The latest blast occurred just two days after 40 CRPF jawans were killed in a terror attack in Pulwama area of the north Indian state.
