Jammu and Kashmir: Indian Army foils infiltration bid along LoC in Poonch

Jammu: Alert troops of Indian Army has successfully foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials.

Jammu-based Defence PRO Lt Col Devender Anand early morning on Wednesday said that during the midnight hours of July 12-13, there was an infiltration attempt along LoC in the Poonch sector.

"The infiltration bid was suitably foiled by our alert troops," he said, adding that more details are to be followed.

In view of ongoing Shri Amarnath Yatra and upcoming Budha Amarnath Yatra starting this month in the Poonch district, Army and security forces are on high alert.
