Jammu and Kashmir: Jaish-e-Mohammad militant arrested in Tral

Srinagar/UNI: Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition, including AK-56 rifle and grenades, at Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.

A police official said that a joint team of police and security forces apprehended a militant at Satura crossing in Tral in an ambush while he was found under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday evening.

He said on his questioning arms and ammunition was recovered from the militant, including one AK-56, five AK Magazines, 150 AK Rds, three Chinese Grenades and two mobile phones.
