Jammu and Kashmir: Journalist dies in Srinagar
Srinagar/UNI: Editor of a local news agency Global News Service (GNS) and English Daily Kashmir Glory Tanveer-ul-Ahad died in a local hospital on Monday night.
He was 31.
He is survived by his wife and three minor children.
Tanveer was admitted to a local hospital in Handwara in Kupwara after he reported vomiting and diarrhoea on Saturday. However, he was referred to Srinagar as there was no improvement in his health condition. He was put on life support in SMHS hospital.
The young journalist, who remained associated with local newspapers before founding the GNS and English daily, breathed his last on Monday night.
A number of media organisations, social and political parties have condoled the death.
