Jammu and Kashmir: Muslims participate in last rites of KP youth
Srinagar: Amid harsh weather conditions, hundreds of Muslims participated in the last rites of a Kashmiri Pandit (KP) youth who succumbed to injuries on Sunday after he met with an accident a few weeks back in Baramulla town.
Rakesh Bhat, alias Raju, son of Satish Bhat, an employee in R&B department Baramulla was injured in a road accident few months back.
The deceased was recovering at his Dewanbagh Baramulla residence, however, he developed some complication few days back and was shifted to a Srinagar hospital where he breathed his last on Sunday.
As the news of his death spread in Baramulla town, hundreds of people amid snowfall rushed to his residence at Dewanbagh Baramulla and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. Later the body was taken in a procession to cremation ground in which hundreds of Muslims participated.
