Jammu and Kashmir: Slain Kashmiri Pandit's wife to get govt job

Jammu: Offering condolences to the family of slain Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat, who was shot dead by terrorists in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said his wife will get a permanent government job.

"Met family members of martyr Puran Krishan Bhatji at their residence in Jammu and offered condolences. Administration to provide a permanent government job to his wife and every possible help to the family," Sinha tweeted.

Bhat was outside his home in Choudharygund village in Shopian when he was attacked by terrorists.

Soon after his killing, the Kashmir Freedom Fighter (KFF) group claimed responsibility. Bhat, 43, was a fruit seller.

He is survived by wife and two children.
