Jammu and Kashmir: Three killed in road mishap

Mumbai, Aug 3 (IBNS): At least three people were killed in a road mishap on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Friday, police said.

The incident occurred when a truck on way from Srinagar to Jammu city rolled down into a deep gorge near Battery Chashma Ramban area of the state.

Police recovered three bodies while conducting the rescue operation in the area.

Police said rescue operation is still going on.

"Today at about 0400 hrs, Truck bearing No JK05E-6580 on way from Srinagar to Jammu rolled down about 1000 mts into deep gorge near Battery Chashma Ramban.During search operation 03 dead bodies recovered from spot. Rescue operation going on.Further detail are being collected," Jammu and Kashmir Police tweeted.
