Jammu and Kashmir: Woman commits suicide in Baramulla
Baramulla/UNI: A woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself on fire in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district , official sources said on Wednesday.
They said a woman allegedly set herself on fire after pouring kerosene oil over her body at her residence on Tuesday.
However, her husband who was present in the house immediately tried to douse the fire and was also injured.
The couple were rushed to a local hospital from where they were referred to SMHS hospital, Srinagar.
The woman succumbed in the hospital on Wednesday, they said, adding it was not immediately clear why she took this extreme step.
