Jharkhand: Cobra jawan injured in IED blast in Chaibasa

Chaibasa: In two separate incidents which took place in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand a jawan of Cobra battalion was injured while 10 IEDs were also recovered on Saturday.

In the first incident in Gitilipi village under Goeilkera Police Station area, a search operation was conducted by the 60th battalion of CRPF and Chaibasa Police during which 10 IEDs were recovered.

Detailing about the incident Chaibasa DP Ashutosh Shekhar said that some IEDs have been recovered and more details will be shared later.

In the forest area of Rengada Hatu village, Inspector of the Cobra battalion Prabhakar Sahni got injured as he came in contact with an IED planted by the maoists.

He was immediately airlifted to Ranchi and was admitted at Medica Hospital.
