Srinagar, Apr 6 (IBNS): A gunfight is underway between militants and government forces at a spot falling between Kangan and Murran areas of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.

Reports said that government forces cordoned off the Murran Kangan area while during the search operation, gun shots were heard.

A local said that atmosphere reverberated with gun shots while local youth who hit to roads started pelting stones on the deployed forces.

“There were some gun shots. We believe that some militants are present there. Operation is underway,” said a police official.
