Srinagar/UNI: Former chief minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday interacted with her party youth leaders in the summer capital, Srinagar.

This is Ms Mufti’s first interaction session with youth PDP leaders after her release from 14-month-long detention in October. She along with former chief ministers – Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah – besides others political leaders and workers were detained ahead of abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A on August 5, 2019.

A PDP spokesperson said that the party president chaired a youth PDP leadership session at Fair View in Gupkar, Srinagar on Tuesday.

He said Ms Mufti listened to youngsters, who had come from different parts of J&K to give feedback to the party president. “The interaction session goes on to depict the importance PDP gives to voice of youth. PDP has always believed that youth are critical to any and every political development,” he said.

A youth leader alleged that they are challenges and refuted though asserted that youngsters will secure their political rights.
