Junaid Azim Mattu elected as new Srinagar Mayor
Srinagar, Nov 6 (IBNS): Junaid Azim Mattu of the Peoples Conference (PC) was elected as the Mayor of Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar city on Tuesday.
As per media reports, Mattu received 40 votes in the polls.
His Congress rival got 26 votes in the polls, reports said.
Ex-Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief SP Vaid congratulated Mattu and tweeted: "Congratulations Junaid Matoo for winning Mayor’s post in Srinagar. City deserves young educated person like you. All the best."
