Justice Pankaj Mithal to take oath as CJ of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh today

Srinagar: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha will administer oath to Justice Pankaj Mithal as Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh here on Monday.

The oath ceremony will be held at Convention Centre, Canal Road, Jammu on January 4 at 11.30 am, an official handout said. Pertinently, Justice Mithal has graduated in Commerce from Allahabad University in 1982 and he did LL B from Meerut College, Meerut affiliated to Ch.

Charan Singh University in 1985 in Uttar Pradesh. Later, he was enrolled as an Advocate in Bar Council of UP in 1985, and then, he was elevated as Additional Judge on July 7, 2006.

He took the oath as permanent Judge on July 2, 2008.
