Karnataka: Mother commits suicide after killing three children

Koppal, Jun 18 (UNI) In a macabre incident, a 30 year-old mother, committed suicide after killing her three children in Yere Hanchanal village of Kukunour taluk in the District on Monday mid night and it came to light today morning.

Police said that the deceased were identified as mother Yellamma (30), her children Akashata (7), Kavya (4),Nagaraj (2).


The woman first killed her two daughters Akashata and Kavya by drowning them in a bucket full of water, and then threw her son into a water tank before hanging herself to a ceiling fan in the bedroom.


Her husband Umesh, who is absconding, was reportedly sleeping outside the house when the incident took place.


The Kukunour police have registered a case and man hunt has been launched to trace Umesh.
