Jammu/UNI: Army troops on Friday launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the forward villages of Naushera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said that on specific information about some suspicious movement, CASO was launched along with a police team early this morning in villages close to the Naushera sector.

"As search operation along border areas is a routine but to rule out presence of any unwanted element, it was aggressively carried out in the area," they said.

And ahead of Republic Day celebrations, the search party of the Army is always on toes and troops are maintaining a close vigil along the borders.

"Nothing has been found so far and no contact has also been established," said an official.
