Kashmir encounter leaves two militants and cop killed

Srinagar, Oct 29 (IBNS): A policeman and two foreigner militants were killed on Sunday during an ongoing gunfight in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

An official said that the gunfight erupted after Army’s 13 RR unit, SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a joint operation in the area.

“As they approached towards the suspected site, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering a gunfight. An SOG man of Jammu and Kashmir Police  was killed in the initial fire,” he said.

During assault two militants were gunned down by forces.
