Kashmir: Fresh encounter in Doda injures 2 jawans

Srinagar/IBNS: Days after four soldiers were martyred in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda, a fresh encounter has left two jawans injured, police said on Thursday.

The encounter broke out in the Kastigarh area of Jammu and Kashmir, media reports said.

This comes days after four soldiers including an officer were killed in Doda.

The Indian Army had said a joint operation by the army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police was launched in Doda based on specific information on the presence of suspected terrorists.

The Army said additional troops were sent to the site.
