Srinagar/UNI: A student of the Kashmir University (KU) was arrested on Friday in a case of unlawful activities at the campus two years ago, official sources said.

They said a case was registered in Nigeen police station in Srinagar against KU student Aquib Ahmad Malik, a resident of Aglar Pinjora in Shopian district of south Kashmir in 2018 under Section 13 of Unlawful Activities Act in 2018.

He has allegedly participated in a demonstration at the campus, sources said.

However, Nigeen police station summoned Malik yesterday and detained him after questioning.
