Kashmiri politician Mir Junaid wishes nation on Independence Day

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Workers Party president Mir Junaid congratulated the country on 74th Indian Independence Day.

He said the day is a moment of 'pride' for all Indians.

"As India turns 74 today, its a moment of pride & joy for every Indian. We have come a long way & made our mark in the world. India has emerged as a key global player in promoting peace & fighting terrorism," he tweeted.

"Our focus is & will always be the welfare of people & this is our essence," he said.

Amid COVID-19 pandemic scare, India observed Independence Day on Saturday.
