KCC delegation apprises Dr Manhohan Singh about deep agrarian crisis
Chandigarh, Mar 2 (UNI ) A delegation of the All India Kisan Coordination Committee met former prime minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manmohan Singh on Saturday and apprised him about the deep agrarian crisis which has engulfed the country.
The delegation raised the issues pertaining to farmers across the country during the meeting. The former PM assured to take up the issues of farmers crisis with Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
Dr Manmohan Singh said farmers are the backbone of India and the Indian economy and advised that all the points be submitted to him so that the same can be included in the Congress manifesto.
The delegation also expressed concern on the rise of communal forces and hate politics and assured to fight the communal forces in the coming Lok Sabha elections so that secular fabric of the nation is strengthened.
The delegation was led by former MP and KCC Chairman Bhupinder Singh Mann and included ex MLA and KCC former Chairperson Saroj Kashikar, Shetkari Sanghathna former president Gunwant Patil, Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Haryana chief Guni Parkash and BKU Uttar Pradesh president Sahib Lal Shukla.
