Kerala CM condoles death of people in Tamil Nadu due to heavy rainfall

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the death of several people in rain related incidents in Tamil Nadu, which was witnessing heavy rainfall triggered by the north-east monsoon.

In a message, the Chief Minister said, "We are saddened by the loss of life, livelihoods and property due to heavy rains in Tamil Nadu. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. We express our solidarity to the affected and stand ready to support them."

The Chief Minister's message came soon after the death of several people in a wall collapse incident at Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu where death toll roses to 17 till this time following heavy rains.
