Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan leaves for Dubai from US

Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who was in the United States of America for medical treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester for the last two weeks, has left for Dubai.

He will return to Kerala on Feb 7 after attending a few functions in Dubai.

The Chief Minister who left for the US on Jan 15 was expected to reach Kerala on Saturday.

However, instead of flying back to the state, he left for Dubai to inaugurate the Kerala Pavilion at the Dubai Expo.

The Chief Minister will meet a few UAE Ministers in Dubai where he will also take part in various discussions at the Dubai Expo.

The Chief Minister is accompanied by his wife T Kamala and personal assistant V M Suneesh.

During his stay in the US, the Chief Minister attended the Cabinet meeting online and signed important e-files.

Earlier, the Chief Secretary had issued an order that all expenses in connection with the Chief Minister's US visit will be borne by the state government.

In 2018, the Chief Minister had undergone treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
