Kerala: Man injured in crude bomb explosion

Kannur, May 5 (UNI) A 43-year-old man sustained serious injuries when a powerful crude bomb exploded at Idathilambalam near Thalassery in this district on Sunday.

According to Dharmadom police, the victim Manoj of Koyilandi in Kozhikode district sustained injuries on both hands and chest and was rushed to Thalassery Indhira Gandhi hospital and later was shifted to a hospital at Kozhikode.


The explosion occurred when his cutter machine, used for cutting bushes to clean up an unused plot of land, came into contact with the crude bomb which was hidden in a thicket of weeds.
